I don’t normally use ChapStick, but it’s so hot outside, I’m doing just about anything I can to cool things down. Metholated ChapStick provides the illusion of cool to my lips.

I spent the day feeling lousy and just wanting the day to end. I was hot, miserable, cranky, sales were down and it just wasn’t getting any better. So, what I do when I’m feeling down? I do what everyone at faire does and I went to see the Iris & Rose show. It makes me smile. A bonus on weekends like this is tht my Squeak is also present.

I only wish that my shite little camera focused on her face instead of the hat – but, I was too hot, miserable & cranky to notice or care.

Taking full advantage of the hazzard table that Jorge built for East Wind Games, I spent a good portion of my Saturday down by the lane teaching & playing dice games. I love that table.

I woke up today feeling lousy & looking worse. A brief conversation with my boss gave me the ability to work from home. So, I did. I worked on a couple of outstanding production issues that have been hanging over my head since I took this position. I’m getting closer to getting some of them cleared up…finally.
When the work day was done, Marita Beth was not, so I went ahead and ran the errands that she normally takes on. Get the groceries, get the change and, in the face of a hot & humid weekend, get the water.

For $1.25, I can fill this jug with 5 gallons of cool, clear water. Or, I can go inside and buy a pre-filled bottle for $9.00. That’s not enough a choice, really.
What I learned today? Never try to fill a 5-gallon jug of water when you already have to pee.

Tonight we recorded the 31st episode of the PubGuys. And, we did it in our old stomping grounds, Rob’s Billiards & Sports in Euless. I like the place, and I enjoy recording PubGuys there. My only wish is for less cigarette smoke in my hair and equipment.

The photo is just the last bits of stuff that need to be packed up, put away or drunk.

They call me DOC-tor Caruthers!
It’s true. Not sure why, but I’ve recently been given the monikor in exchange for my ability – some would call it a curse – to fix those things what need fixin’. Most recently it’s been the digital projector in the conference room. Nary a day went by when it didn’t seem I was going in there to help someone plug all the cords in to the proper slots. So, I wrote a how-to that has been laminated and is now attached to both the wall and to the remote control. I took photos to illustrate the connections. This is one that didn’t make the cut.

They’re the only photos I took today. I’m just a corporate dweeb.
