I feel as though I’ve said this a lot this spring—but, this is some amazing fabric! I have had the pleasure this season, of working with some of the most beautiful fabrics I’ve ever handled. That fabulous shimmery rich gold silk blend brocade for Emily that will have her not only figuratively glowing, but literally outshining the sun on her wedding day. The honey pumpkin orange chenille brocade for Brittney–so yummy even the colour words are all food-related. The incredible amethyst background brocade for our queen. A delightful combination of burgundy and gold for Shannon W. The awesome black and gold stripey middle Eastern-feeling brocade I used to make trim and sleeves (and accentuate those shoulders!
)for Jessie. Fabulous burgundy geometric brocade (that I’d been hoarding for years ) for Leah. And now, this absolutely amazing, rich, loden green (the photo doesn’t do it justice) Ralph Lauren double damask that I lucked into finding for Michael. And soon, there’s the plush silvery grey velvet and the rare black on black brocade for the brothers Jacobs, various dark sages and golden tones for both Rick and Larry . . . it goes on and on. I do love this aspect of my work!
Exciting news of the day: Ronnie has successfully printed our first batch of fabric game boards for East Wind Games! I can hardly wait to get them all sewed up and ready to go!
