Sunday mornings have become a very important time for me, especially for 4 months of the year (March/April and October/November). During those months, the wife and I enjoy the company of our very dear friends Damaris and Roxanne and we celebrate that friendship with the most daunting and complex of cocktails – the Blood Mary.
The tradition started, as most do, innocently enough with an offhand comment, but has grown to be a very important thing to me. Even those months when I don’t have those lovely ladies with me, I continue the Bloody Mary Sunday Service with what can easily be termed “religious regularity”.
I infuse my own vodka with peppers and coordinate that with a range of spices and flavors slowly creating a concoction that rivals any other Bloody Mary I have ever had, and puts most to shame.
Marita Beth took this photo as I was stirring in the Creole seasoning.
In the background you can see my favorite of the Iris and Rose t-shirts “Beer and Boobies.”
Cheers
