Brett, Jill & I went to Lone Star Park today to watch the horsies run around the track. I’ve not been to the races in 20+ years and had a great time. I bet on three races, and won on two of them. Not big bets, but I came away from the day in the black.
That’s Brett & Jill. Brett is analyzing – too deeply for his own good – the daily race form. It was a good time and I will certainly go again…when the weather is cooler.

I’ve never been to that kind of horse race before. I went to dog races and Sulky races when my family lived in Ohio, but that was in the early 70s, so I barely remember it. I’ve been wanting to go to Lone Star Park since it was built.
