We went on a pubcrawl tonight. My first pubcrawl in many, many years. I took off a wee bit early, picked up my wife and headed downtown. We arrived just as the first stop was ending. Now, this pubcrawl was being sponsored by, but not paid-for by, the Rahr Brewery. So, we were hoping for lots of tasty Rahr beer. Well, they ran out just as we arrived at the first stop: Grace. In fact, I think it may have been MB who got the last half-pint of the Whisky Warmer. Next stop was the Flying Saucer where copious amounts of Iron Thistle flowed free – well, the flowing was free, the drinking was not. Now, the Rahr broke us into groups to head to one of four differnt dinner locations. Marita Beth, myself, Terrill, Jill & Brett all headed to Cowtown Diner where our friend Brad is the Assistant to the Manager. Delightful food & more Rahr beer (Rahr Red this time) was had before we headed to the next stop. The Cowtown Diner is also where I took the first (and best) photo of the experience:

The next stop was Razzoos which was way too loud & crowded so we didn’t stay. In fact, only Terrill, Marita Beth & I made that trip. Everyone else stayed at Cowtown Diner or headed on to the final stop of the night which is where we headed next. Terrill went on home to be with his family while Marita Beth & I trudged to Paddy Red’s a charming, if exceptionally smoky, pub. One beer there and my bronchitis could take no more so we left. But, we left with memories, a gift certificate (which we won) and new friends. A delightful evening all in all!
Cheers.
