30 April
My second post on the 10th of May and the final post of April (hooray!) Maybe, someday, I actually will be caught up.

Hawk and Statue. It sounds like it should be the name of some neo-English pub rather than the title of a photo. But, the photo needed the title, because well…it’s a Hawk and a Statue. This particular morning, Marita Beth was taking me to work (for what reason, I don’t recall). We went down the side road that takes us past that beautiful English garden I photograph so frequently and Marita Beth practically split my eardrums when she yelled, “Stop! There’s a hawk on her head!” So, I backed up to take a series of photos. Marita Beth had, regretfully, left her camera at the house so the only photos taken were mine. This is when I wish my zoom was more powerful and more stable. The photo is a little blurry because I just could not hold the camera still enough and the image stabilizer wasn’t enough to compensate. Some day I’ll have a really cool camera capable of the best photo under the worst conditions. Until then, I do what I can with what I have and for the greater part am pleased.
Cheers.
