On Sunday of the North Texas Irish
Festival, my friend Mike and his son, Graham, and I sat at the Shamrock Stage and caught a series of acts. One of those acts, the Rogues, we had heard the night before and not been impressed. This morning, however, my good friend Ken took over the sound from the normal sound engineer; it made all the difference. The vocal were more clean, the piping was less muddy and the keyboards came through as expected. He’s a talented bodhrán player, Ken, but I had no reason to suspect that he is also talented on the mixing board.
Well done!
