Lampwork Glass Beads

Lampwork Bead Art

Weird day.  I was awakened, again, by one of those annoying and disconcerting tachycardia events.  So, although I’ve learned to be able to doze during this, it certainly doesn’t qualify as sleep.  It’s not even as good as the sleep you can sneak in between alarm snoozes.  It’s more like . . . oh, I don’t know.  It defies explanation.  Suffice it to say, that when I finally crawled out of bed around eight o’clock, I was tired, drained and feeling a litte dizzy and out of breath.  Isn’t that a fine way to start a morning?

It was about nine-thirty before it quit, and at 11 a.m. I had a massage therapy appointment.  I probably should have skipped that, but it’s a commitment, so hopefully there will be some long-term benefit, ’cause I actually felt worse as I got up,  than I had before I got on the table.  But, the good news there is that my neck popped again!  Woo hoo!

I wasn’t feeling well enough to eat lunch, so my second meal of the day was leftovers at about seven p.m.  I managed to get one errand done, thanks to Stephen’s offer to drive me to the bank.  And I worked for a little while in the evening.  But, mostly, I’m afraid, the day was a wash.

I did get some further organization of my little living space done in an effort to make more room for Kyle this weekend.  In the process, I snapped this photo of the bauble on a key ring I bought a few years back at the Main Steet Ats Festival in Fort Worth.  I just found out this weekend that we have a friend/colleague here at the faire that makes such beautiful lampworked beads . . . I must investigate! :-)

The Bristol renfaire merchant who makes beautiful lampworked beads similar to these, is Connie Cooper—-I’ll try to get more information. I did check out her beads, though, and they’re every bit as cool as these!
