Finally, after much travail and favor-trading I am going on holiday. The timing could not be more perfect as I leave 111°F at home for the vastly more reasonable 82°F of Wisconsin. Further to the timing – and of considerable more import – it is the 16th anniversary of my wedding to that delightful soul the world knows as Marita Beth. I shall spend that day in her company and, if the luck that provided me this First Class ticket holds, her embrace.
