Only The Cat is Real

Only the Cat is Real

30 September 2008

Artemis loves stuffed animals.  I know that’s kinda weird, and I probably wouldn’t believe it myself if she didn’t provide so much proof.  Today, left to her own devices, this is where she chose to take her morning nap.

Kyle and I brought this stuffed plush border collie home from our last trip to Scotland.  I think I’ve written about it before, probably because it was in a photo with Artemis!  But, this is a new spot for him—and consequently, for her.  I am so amused.

Still sick, by the way.  But, I am down to just one little page of notes about what numbers my accountant still needs.  I just sent her off with another box of “stuff” and I feel pretty good about that.

I did find a very happy article online at the Galveston Historical Foundation’s own website:

http://www.galvestonhistory.com/Dickens_Press7.asp

It tells beyond all shadow of a doubt, that this year’s Dickens on the Strand Festival is ON!

  1. Good to hear that Dickens is still on, right? Especially for me and Christian, as we’re getting married there this year!

We sure hope you can make it this year.

Keep in touch, as I don’t think the e-mail address you gave me last year has been working.

Yes, GHF is planning to host Dickens. The Lone Star Biker Rally is also scheduled for the end of October. Bernardo’s at the Hotel Galvez reopened today and Sunday brunch resumes on Sunday. Hotel Galvez will reopen to the public in early November. Feel free to add my blog from Galveston.com to your website. Thanks.

Hi, just eavesdropping :) My love for cats and Galveston got me here! So glad to hear Galveston is getting back on her feet! The media says nothing about it anymore. I dig on the internet periodically to find out what’s going on. My prayers are with you and when the island is open for guests to return my family will be there….something about Galveston that once you’ve been there a small part of your heart always remains!

Thanks for the post and Artemis is adorable!
