Pasta Roses

pasta_rosesI don’t eat much food at faires – having worked at or played at faires for the better part of 30 years, there’s not much in the way of faire food that appeals to me any longer.
There are three notable exceptions. The first of those exceptions is the crepes found only at the Kansas Renaissance Festival. The second is just about anything made by my delightful friend Rhonni at the Queen’s Pantry at the Texas Renaissance Festival. The third, and the subject of this photo, is the Pasta Roses served up at Victor’s Pasta Palace next to the Ladyhawke Stage at Scarborough Faire. These little nuggets of yumminess are served but twice a year and rarely last the full day they are so popular.

When next you are at Scarborough Faire on either opening weekend or Mother’s Day, do yourself the favour of trying this delicious concoction.

Cheers.
