When Bryan posted to Facebook that the Pub Guys were going to do a “dry run” of their live show to work out the kinks before this Wednesday’s live gig at the Firehouse Grill, I—and I wasn’t the only one—was very amused. Pretty much nothing the Pub Guys do is “dry!”
They had their rehearsal, though, and it actually went way better than I think any of us expected it to go. Only one off-color word snuck out. Nobody got angry or defensive. Nobody droned on for too long. Nobody interrupted awkwardly or tangled his words badly. And, even though the show was all about sports, as the live show is supposed to be, I was entertained. Except for a few glitches with a new speaker system, it was an amazingly smooth session. I am so proud I can hardly stand it! Way to go, Pub Guys! Bring on the Live Show!
