Queen Anne Boleyn

Queen Anne Boleyn

29 March 2008

If you happened to be shopping today, at Grapevine Mills Mall, you might have noticed something rather out of the ordinary.  A few dozen cast members from Scarborough Renaissance Festival were roaming the mall, playing with the public, promoting the festival and generally having a good ole’ time.  I hadn’t planned to attend this event, but at the last moment, my delivery system fell through for my last order and I offered to personally drive up there and hand Dan his new outfit.  Kelly met me there, and we had a great time, visiting, primping, and enjoying the company of our actor-friends.  I was proud of all of my work—Dan, Bert, Tommy, Shannon (today’s photo), Nicci—my folks look great and all seem happy.  That makes all the efforts well worthwhile!  When the event kicked off, we watched the opening presentation, listened to Queen Anne’s Lace sing for a while, and then went to the Corner Bakery for lunch.

I spent the rest of the afternoon searching area thrift stores for a few things I was hoping to find before faire opened.  I was partially successful, and came home to find that Kyle had had a super-productive day of his own, tweaking the East Wind Games inventory, adding in items, packaging up all the product to take to faire tomorrow.  I was very impressed.  I did some sewing, and got the truck ready to pack, and now, I’m finally following Kyle to bed.

Tomorrow’s gonna be a long, hard day!
