After a couple of days of housework and drudgery, I went to a party tonight! It was a hostess party being thrown by my friend Lori, and with the PubGuys recording a closed studio, live-streaming session, I had no dinner-time plans to conflict, so I gave my commitment to go. It was an easy sell for me as soon as I realized it was a “hands-on” crafting event!
It was a delightful gathering of folks and a nice presentation by Lori’s friend of her product line with Stampin’ Up. When all was said and done, I had purchased some fancy papers, but I still find myself underwhelmed by rubber stamps and such. Paper, though, is my big scrapbooking-world weakness!
And, that’s why I’m so delighted with my little craft project from tonight’s party. It’s paper crafting at its finest! The device used to die cut the flowers and box parts was pretty cool and sadly out of my price range. But, the end result is adorable!
Thanks, Lori!

The first Monday of the new year, and I had the luxury of planning a scrapbooking date with my dear Stephanie! I spent the morning on housework, and then, Stephanie arrived with scrapbooks and tool bags in tow. We had a great afternoon looking at each other’s books, and getting lots of work done. At dinner time, we met Kyle and Jill and Brett at No Frills for some food and libation. It was a great day. And, my college scrapbook is looking pretty good!
